The Support for Summer Reading Online grant is facilitated by the Massachusetts Library System (MLS), a state-supported collaborative. The grant focused on encouraging MA librarians to actively implement and manage an online reading program during Summer 2011. Funded by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, the MLS provides an online program from Evanced Solutions to every public library in the state, allowing the your library to utilize this tool in their local programming.

Of the 200+ libraries offering an online program component, these libraries were selected to receive a visit from Mr. Lies. Mr. Lies, whose books include Bats at the Beach, Bats at the Library, and Hamlet and the Magnificent Sandcastle, is the illustrator of the 2012 Collaborative Summer Library Program, Dream Big—READ! Massachusetts is one of 50 states using the program and his illustrations can be seen in libraries across the country!
