Seeking Nominations to the Executive Board

The Massachusetts Library System (MLS) is seeking nominations to serve on the Executive Board.  Board members represent member libraries: academic, special, school, and public libraries from all parts of the Commonwealth.  Three board members will be elected for three-year terms, beginning January 2015.  A slate of candidates will be approved by the Council of Members at its November 2014 annual meeting.

The Executive Board governs the business and affairs of MLS.  It typically meets for three hours, twelve times a year.  Most meetings are held at the MLS headquarters in Marlborough and some are at other locations around the state.  The option to attend remotely is available; however in-person attendance is best.

If you are interested in serving on the Board, please complete the online self-nomination form at by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014.

Please contact the Nominating Committee at if you have questions.  MLS bylaws are available at
