Photo of man wearing glassesMLS is excited to announce that Oscar Lanza-Galindo has joined the Consulting & Training Services department as a Consultant. Oscar will be focusing his consulting and training services on leadership and management topics. Please join us in welcoming Oscar. 

Oscar joins MLS after more than a decade in library administration and leadership in higher education. With a commitment and passion for creating library communities that actively uphold values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Oscar served as an American Library Association (ALA) Councilor-at-Large and on ALA and ACRL committees. Oscar holds a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University of Arizona, a Master of Arts in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management from SIT Graduate Institute, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Massachusetts Boston.   

In his most recent role as Associate Dean of the Library and Learning Commons at BHCC, Oscar successfully oversaw the merger of library and tutoring services, served on the college’s strategic planning committee, and other working groups.  

When away from work, Oscar enjoys time with his family, playing tag with Incredible Hulk the Cat, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, gardening, and playing electric guitar.

Amanda Fauver is the Membership and BiblioTemps Manager for the Massachusetts Library System. She has worked with MLS for over a decade supporting libraries of all types across the state. Amanda holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Suffolk University. Her BA in English is from the University of New Hampshire.
