As member services and staff support, I assist our members with the membership process and help libraries save money through the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) purchasing cooperative. One of the biggest responsibilities of my job is the Annual School Library Renewal. I ensure school library members maintain eligibility requirements.
Currently, I’m working on updating our Academic and Special Libraries in LDAP. We do our absolute best to keep all of our library types as up to date as possible in our directory.
Outside the office Shirley enjoys…
I love playing softball during the summer months along with doing a lot of walking and jogging. Walking and jogging help me to unwind at the end of almost every day. It is a relaxing and generally quiet time. During the summer months I often see deer, rabbits and other wild animals.
Right now, I’m watching a Netflix series Heartland. It’s a really great show about a family and a ranch. I love horses, and I like how the family deals with everyday issues and how close they are.
